Cultural Immersion & Language Classes for Adults

  • Check out our A1 New Beginner classes! These are for students with little or no Italian experience. You do not need to take a placement test and may go ahead and register.

    All other classes require a placement test.

  • If you have previous Italian knowledge, before registering, you’ll need to take a placement test. Email info@scuola.us to receive the test.

    For returning students, if it has been less than a year, you may register without a placement test. If it has been more than a year, please email registration@scuola.us

  • In-Person Classes

    Held at our 1542 NW 14th Ave location. Space is limited. Classes are held in the Quimby Street classroom. If you are standing in front of the building, turn toward the Quimby Street & 14th Ave corner, walk along the building and it is the first door on the right.

    Virtual Classes

    Held via Zoom. You will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet with camera and audio capabilities to join the online classroom. Classes are limited to eight students unless otherwise approved.

  • $305 for a 10-week term.

    For those who need financial assistance, we do offer scholarships. Please email info@scuola.us for more information.

    • 30% discount for family members of a currently enrolled student

    • 30% discount if you enroll in a second class in the same term (after paying for the first class, discount on the cheaper class)

    • Discounts must be requested by email. No refunds or credits will be given after payments have been made.

    NOTE: some classes are shorter than 10 weeks. The cost reflects the length of the class.

    The required books for the class costs approximately $69.99 new and last through the first level (i.e., A1 until A2)

    A work book is also required for classes after Beginner 1 - $29.99

Beginner Italian Classes

Whether you are planning a trip to Italy, learning the language for work, or simply embracing the beautiful Italian language and culture, our beginner classes will provide the framework that is necessary to communicate effectively in real-life situations.

Beginner 1 - This is for those new or almost new to the language. No placement test is required.

Beginner 2 & 3 build on the skills built in Beginner 1. You need to have completed the previous class or pass a placement test to register in Beginner 2 or Beginner 3.

Beginner-Intermediate

Students entering the Beginner-Intermediate level of Italian will need to have completed Beginner 3 to enroll or pass a placement test. Students will continue to delve deeper into the Italian language, mastering language around daily activities, interpersonal communication, and in-depth grammar.

Advanced Classes

At the Advanced Level, students collaborate as a class and in small groups to write short compositions on a variety of topics, which they will share and discuss among themselves. The student will practice, perfect, and strengthen their Italian knowledge through class based assignments and activities. The classroom atmosphere is one of openness, where students work together and make mistakes together, all with the common goal of gaining fluency in Italian.
